Originally titled “Rail Me” this piece grew out of my first queer love. I was new to the city and learning how to navigate both the subway system and a sense of tenderness I had never felt before. I was thinking about how we move through and to spaces and social dynamics- all the different ways we can connect. Subway lines became veins and fingers and lips and ways we can see each other and share.
