Scanography
Working on a scanner is an enmeshing of worlds. When COVID first caused its shut down in March 2020, and the campus darkroom closed, this device became an alternative for what was once a physical process of image-making into something digital. A mirror of my personal sense of connection and consumption. These are wavering spaces. Any sense of dimension is manufactured and yet, in the creation of its image, completely real. Not quite photography and not quite drawing. Betwixt and between. The beauty found in wavering uncertainty.
